Events Terms and Conditions

1. Definitions

• “Company” means, Trauma Recovery Global trading as Betsy de Thierry Limited

• “Event” means any conference, workshop, or training session organised by the Company.

• “Delegate” means any individual attending or booking a place at the Event.

 

2. Booking and Payment

• All bookings must be made via the official registration process.

• Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed.

• Where invoicing is agreed, payment must be made within 7 days.

• A booking is only confirmed once payment has been received or agreed in writing.

 

3. Cancellation and Refund Policy

• All cancellations must be submitted in writing.

• No refunds will be issued within 14 days prior to the Event.

• Cancellations made more than 14 days before the Event may be eligible for a refund at the Company’s discretion.

• Delegate places may be transferred to another person with prior written notice.

 

4. Event Changes

• The Company reserves the right to make changes to the Event, including speakers, content, venue, or timings where necessary.

• Where possible, Delegates will be notified in advance.

• If the Event is cancelled by the Company, Delegates will be offered a transfer or refund.

 

5. Photography, Filming, and Media Consent

• The Company may photograph, film, or record the Event for promotional, educational, and commercial purposes.

• By attending the Event, Delegates consent to being photographed, filmed, and recorded, and to the use of such media by the Company in:

  • Marketing materials

  • Social media

  • Publications

  • Training and educational content

• Delegates who do not wish to appear in photographs or recordings must notify the Company in writing prior to the Event and make themselves known to the event team on arrival.

• The Company will make reasonable efforts to respect such requests but cannot guarantee complete exclusion from all media.

 

6. Delegate Conduct and Responsibilities

• Delegates must behave respectfully towards speakers, staff, and other attendees.

• The Company reserves the right to remove any Delegate whose behaviour is inappropriate, disruptive, or unsafe, without refund.

• Delegates are responsible for their own belongings at all times.

 

7. Intellectual Property

• All Event materials remain the intellectual property of the Company.

• Delegates may not record, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Event without prior written consent.

• Materials are provided for personal use only and must not be used to deliver training or services.

 

8. Confidentiality and Sensitive Content

• Due to the nature of trauma-related content, Delegates agree to maintain confidentiality regarding:

  • Case studies

  • Personal stories

  • Sensitive material shared during the Event

• Delegates must not share identifiable information about others.

9. Data Protection

• Personal data provided during registration will be processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws and privacy notices.

• Information will be used solely for the purposes of administering the Event and communicating relevant updates.

 

 

10. Health, Safety, and Wellbeing

• Delegates attend the Event at their own risk.

• The Company is not responsible for any personal injury, loss, or damage except where required by law.

• Some content may be emotionally sensitive; Delegates are responsible for managing their own wellbeing and seeking support if needed.

 

11. Liability

• The Company will not be liable for any loss, injury, or damage to persons or property, except where required by law.

• The Company shall not be held responsible for any delays or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control (including but not limited to force majeure events).

 

12. Force Majeure

• The Company shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

 

13. Governing Law

• These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

 

14. Acceptance

• By booking and/or attending the Event, Delegates agree to these Terms and Conditions.
